Today folks, I’m going to go through my set-up for hosting Sharktail on a Water cloud VPS, attaching a Filesystem via SSHFS. I’ll take you through my motivation for doing this, the time it took me to accomplish it, the stack, and the lessons I learned along the way.
For a while now I’ve been using Sharktail as a One-stop solution for hosting this variety of media, I’ve went through a few minor iterations over the early stages, ultimately hosting completely on my own hardware. As the scale of the media grew however it didn’t take long before consumption outpaced availability and thus I had to quickly develop a new solution.
I found that Watercloud have what are essentially one-click installations for Coolify (Kubernetes for Babies) and GitLab.
Here already I would get side-tracked on explaining in more depth these technologies and the wonder of Watercloud to but to prevent that, I’ve written seperate blog posts here!
